Aug. 15, 2001: The Upper Garage, located immediately southwest of the Harry Carey
Ranch House, was built in the 1920s or earlier. Built of adobe, possibly by the Indians
who worked at the Harry Carey Ranch prior to the 1928 St. Francis Dam disaster, it was heavily
damaged in the Jan. 17, 1994 earthquake and is slated for demolition during development
of the Tesoro del Valle housing project in San Francisquito Canyon.
