Oct. 9, 1970: "Old Tom" Bucklee, seen here on his 66th birthday, was a regular coffee-guzzling customer at Darcy's '49er saloon in Acton and lived in a trailer that he parked in the restaurant's parking lot on Crown Valley Road. Future Santa Clarita Mayor Jo Anne Darcy and her husband Curtis owned and operated the '49er from about 1966 to 1973 before moving to Saugus. |
