Bouquet Canyon

Francisco Chari built this adobe home in 1845 for his Rancho del Buque (Ship Ranch), from which the name "Bouquet Canyon" is derived. Martin Ruiz acquired the 300-acre ranch and sold it in 1874 to Juan and Dominga Suraco (possibly Suracco), who had L. Ruiz enlarge the buildings. Photograph taken c. 1870. Identification by A.B.
