Suraco Adobe
Bouquet Canyon

Francisco Chari built this adobe structure in 1845 for his Rancho del Buque (Ship Ranch), from which the name "Bouquet Canyon" is derived. Martin Ruiz acquired the 300-acre ranch and sold it in 1874 to Juan and Dominga Suraco (possibly Suracco), who had L. Ruiz enlarge the buildings. This is how the adobe appeared shortly after the turn of the 20th Century. Identification by A.B. Perkins.
