About the Author

The story of Soledad Canyon pioneer Thomas Findley Mitchell, as assembled over the course of 20 years by his grandson, Richard F. Mitchell, begins in England in the Middle Ages with their ancestor, William I (the Conqueror).

Thomas Mitchell enters the picture on page 92 ... which is the 54th page of Part 2 as presented here.

Biographies of Thomas Mitchell's wife, Martha, and their descendants, along with official documents, are found in Part 3.

Part 4, which is actually the second part of the book, is the genealogy.
