Newhall Refinery
Newhall, California

[View 1][View 2]

The Newhall Refinery was established in 1930 and was located on the east side of (current) Sierra Highway, immediately north of Beale's Cut (which is actually part of the refinery property). In 1943 the refinery was aquired by W.D. Parks and Ed Ericksen and, like Bermite at the time, was an important local employer.

The operator, Newhall Refining Co., was headquartered at 24356 San Fernando Road (phone 355). This office would later become Newhall Jewelers.

Photo probably 1940s. Donated to SCV Historical Society in March 2003 by Rita Rippe.
