Narrative: PFC Cole W. Larsen of Canyon Country served with the 272nd Military Police Company in and around Baghdad and Fallujah, Iraq. During his second tour of duty at age 19, while escorting fellow soldiers on November 13, 2004, a civilian truck collided with his armored military vehicle causing it to roll over and kill him. PFC Larsen had been awarded the Bronze Star. He is memorialized with a cenotaph at Eternal Valley Cemetery in Newhall, Calif.

The Cole William Larsen Foundation Inc. is a 501c3 charitable organization (TIN 26-2417871) that supports famlies of fallen and wounded U.S. military personnel by raising funds for TAPS (Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors) and the Wounded Warrior Project. The foundation also administers the Cole William Larsen Scholarship Fund to assist worthy high school students seeking continued education. The foundation's signature enent is an annual Memorial Garden Tour in the Santa Clarita Valley area at which financial contributions are encouraged.
