Newhall Boy Dies in Vietnam.

The tragedy of Vietnam death has hit close to home in Valencia Valley again.

Warrant Officer Stephen R. Peterson of Newhall was killed April 23 in a midair helicopter collision during a night raid in Vietnam.

The 21-year-old son of Ray and Margaret Peterson of Newhall was a 1965 graduate of Hart High School.

Graveside services are pending in San Diego.

The young serviceman is also survived by his brother Robert Peterson of Huntington Beach; a stepsister, Linda Sissener of Saugus; grandparents Mr. and Mrs. George Peterson of South Dakota and four nieces.
