Patricia Joann Garland


Patricia Joann Garland, 83, passed away at home on August 17, 2014. Born on June 7, 1931 in Torrance, California, she has been a resident of Santa Clarita for 45 years.

Patricia graduated from Torrance High School, class of 1949 in Torrance, CA. She was a sales associate for K-Mart and also a homemaker for many years.

She is survived by her husband, Russell Garland of Santa Clarita, CA.; her daughter, Gloria Garland (Jon Bock) of Oakhurst, CA; her son Steven Garland (Susan) of Santa Clarita, CA.; her sisters, Jeanne Cameron of Everett, MA., Becky Campbell of Corona, CA. and Kathleen McCarthy of Redondo Beach, CA. and her granddaughters, Stephanie Robinson (Daniel) of Santa Clarita, Ca. and Shawna Garland of Santa Clarita, CA.

Patricia was preceded in death by her mother, June Jessome of Torrance, CA. and her sister, Nancy Herman of San Diego, CA.

Services will be held on August 22, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Eternal Valley Memorial Park Mortuary, Chapel of the Oaks (23287 N. Sierra Highway, Newhall, CA. 91321)

"Patricia will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother." Donations can be made in Patricia Garland's name to the Alzheimer's Association.

She will be greatly missed.
