Christine E. "Chris" Welsford died peacefully on January 4, 2014, at age 70. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Chris was truly a beautiful, wonderful woman who was respected and loved by everyone that knew her.
Chris taught 3rd grade in the Saugus Union School District (Rio Vista Elementary) for 20 years until her retirement. After retirement she moved to Simi Valley and enjoyed going to the gym, traveling, working in her yard, and was an active docent for Robert P. Strathearn Historic Park. It is with great sorrow to announce the loss of such a talented and creative woman who has touched so many lives.
A visitation will be held at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks-Griffin Mortuary, 5600 Lindero Canyon Rd. Westlake Village, CA, on Jan. 16 at 10 a.m., with a service to follow at 11 a.m.
