Photo No. 14 from The Newhall Land and Farming Co.'s March 24, 1928 report
on the March 12-13 St. Francis Dam Disaster.
South bank of the river, east of the Los Angeles-Ventura county line, showing the
new Southern California Edison Co. Construction Camp that was set up following the decimation of the prior
camp and the heavy loss of life among the 150-200 men who were installing power lines
in the area prior to the flood. According to the text, "this gives a pretty accurate idea
of what the washed out Camp must have looked like, on the south side of the track."
