Scallop Shell Fossils
Castaic, California

Conglomerate with fossilized scallop shells, 4 to 5 inches in diameter. Located at the head of the Castaic Valley at the confluence of Fish Creek and Castaic Creek, on what was the Naylor Ranch from the 1910s to the early 1930s.
