ORGANIZED FEB. 21, 1923.

Newhall, Calif. April 25, 1923.
    Regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the Newhall Chamber of Commerce called to order at 8:30 P.M. in Masonic Hall by Chairman Swall.
    Directors Harker, Anderson, Swall, Pilcher, Riedel, Lamkin and Thibaudeau present.
    Mr. Pilcher reported that permission had been received from Forester Flintham to remove any trees thought necessary for the protection of autoists.
    Mr. Swall reported that nothing had been done about establishing a Fire Protection District as some change in the law along this line is anticipated.
    Motion passed that Swall and Thibaudeau call on the Southern California Edison Company in regard to electricity for Happy Valley.
    The members were urged to get as many persons as possible to attend the water rate hearing on May 1st.
    Meeting adjourned to May 9th at usual time and place.
