Installing Christmas decorations in the 1950s along San Fernando Road (previously called Spruce, later called Main).

Image from Robert N. "Butch" Hampton whose mother, Margaret "Maggie" Hampton, owned the popular Snack Shack at 24325 San Fernando Road (aka 727 Spruce Street). Bruce writes:

"Volunteer Linemen from Pac Bell and SCE (Southern California Edison) would gather at the Snack Shack in the early morning hours as a staging area for the erection of the light pole-hung decorations and audio system."
